We utilize the safest and most advanced anesthetic protocols to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. A Licensed Veterinary Technician along with the most advanced monitoring equipment tracks the patient’s vital signs during all anesthetic procedures. Preanesthetic blood testing is important in reducing the risks of anesthesia. We recommend blood testing before surgery to ensure that the liver and kidneys can manage the anesthetic. Even apparently healthy animals can have serious organ system problems that cannot be detected without blood testing. If there is a problem, it is much better to find it before it causes anesthetic or surgical complications. Intraveneous (IV) fluids are administered when indicated. If serious problems are detected, surgery can be postponed until the problem is corrected.

Testimonial

I trust Quioccasin Vet with my Maggie's (beagle) life. They are kind, caring, prompt, efficient, and most importantly knowledgeable about all things dog! Maggie is a rescue dog, and was pretty anxious and very scared when I adopted her. Dr. Mortimer and his associates helped me understand Maggie's behavior and spent time teaching me how to help her. 3 years later, I am still taking Maggie there, but now, she is much more social! Thank you to everyone there!
